About: Sqweez is a new generation soft drink made from real fruit, with bold flavor, low calories and no added sugar or sweeteners. Just a “sqweez” of fruit and sparkling water, nothing more. It brings a straightforward take on soft drinks, where taste comes first and the formula stays clean. The range comes in three flavors, each built around real fruit and a light, refreshing profile made for everyday moments..

Brand goal: Sqweez set out to turn a new soft drink into something people stop for in the feed, not scroll past. The goal was to land fast with Gen Z and young adults in the Netherlands and Belgium, make the product instantly understandable and cut through a crowded category where most drinks look and sound the same. Creator content carried the work, built to spark curiosity, drive conversation, and position Sqweez as the simple switch that still delivers full flavor.

Challenges:

Sqweez entered a competitive soft drink market where clear positioning and fast understanding were essential. Gen Z also expects authentic creator content and ignores traditional advertising, which makes trust and relevance key:

  • On TikTok and Instagram, the feed never slows down, which makes standing out harder than ever.;
  • The product was new, so the content needed to immediately make people understand what Sqweez is or what makes it different from other soft drinks;
  • Gen Z rejects staged or scripted advertising, which meant that we needed to balance authenticity with clear product messaging;

What we have done:

Barter launched a creator-led pilot campaign with 30 creators across the Netherlands and Belgium to introduce Sqweez through TikTok and Instagram.

  • We worked with 30 creators across the Netherlands and Belgium to make short form content that fits and performs well in the fast paced nature of TikTok and Instagram.
  • We briefed creators on the product, then let them explain Sqweez in their own words, so the content is authentic and builds trust with a new Dutch and Belgian audience
  • We chose creators who match the Gen Z audience, so content feels relatable, stays relevant and drives stronger engagement.
