Tip #2
Write the best Event Title (ever)
A great title grabs attention — keep it short, specific, and on-brand.
Tip #3
Writing the 'Requirements' for the Influencer, the best way
Be clear and realistic about what you expect — it helps creators deliver better results.
Freedom is Key
- Give creators as much creative freedom as possible when making content — this leads to more authentic UGC.
- Ask if the content creator is open to using Instagram Collab — this way both you and the creator benefit from maximum reach.
- Instagram Reels and TikTok videos perform best due to their intuitive and organic algorithms, increasing the chances of going viral.
In the 'Requirements' section, describe:
- The type of post: reel, video, story, or photo.
- The number of posts expected.
- Which platform(s) the content should be published on.
- What you expect from the UGC.
- Whether you'd like to repost the content.

When to use the chat function?
The chat function becomes available once you've accepted a creator. Accepting a creator means you're interested in collaborating with them. Use chat to discuss deal details and collaboration specifics.
-
The creator is visiting your location — now what?
When the creator arrives on the agreed date, make sure your staff is informed about the Barter deal. Ask the creator to show the deal in the Barter app to confirm it's the correct person and agreement.
-
Online collaborations with creators
For online deals, the selected date isn’t critical. Choose a future date that creators can sign up for, and then use the chat to coordinate shipping and timing. Creators are aware of this process.
-
Leaving a Review
After the collaboration, leave a review for the content creator if possible. This helps other users make informed decisions when choosing creators and makes the platform more helpful for everyone.
-
What if I’m unhappy with the content?
Communicate with the creator to explain why the content didn’t meet your expectations. Ask if they can deliver new content. If you’re really dissatisfied with the quality, you can request that they don’t publish the content.
-
What if there's a no-show?
If someone doesn't show up or goes silent after receiving products, contact us at hello@getbarter.com. We have a zero-tolerance policy for no-shows, and creators are fully aware of this.
-
What if there’s inappropriate behavior?
If you experience any issues with a creator, either on the platform or on location, contact us at hello@getbarter.com. We also have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior.
Tip #4
Communication
Use the in-app chat to stay connected, answer questions, and build real creator relationships.
